Of course, that depends on where you live and whether you want to do mail order instead of going into a shop and buying in person. There are a lot of dealers in North America (and yes, U.S. dealers can ship to Canada or anywhere in N. or S. America), many have basses in stock or will have an order coming in soon. Check out
Pick of the Ricks,
Wildwood, or even
Musician's Friend. They all seem to have a few in stock. I've bought from all of them and had no problems.
As for the one in the ad you posted, it looks legit, but is a bit over priced for what you can get a brand new one complete with warranty for...
Happy to report that I pulled the trigger today on my first
real bass guitar - a 2013 4003 in Fireglo through Troy at Wildwood Guitars. He gave me a price I am very happy with and so far their customer service has been fantastic. I usually have apprehensions buying something site-unseen from another country, but not this time. I feel very confident that they will inspect it again, set it up properly and get it out to me promptly and safely.
I apologize in advance for any silly questions I may ask in the future.

Wildwood is basically in a town where I went to high school, and I have been there many times; they run a quality operation. Some of those recently-posted Fireglo 4003s were pretty excellent looking. Congratulations!

Congrats! When we are talking Ricks, there are no silly questions. Dumb maybe, but not silly.

Thanks everyone!
It is now official. I am an official 4003 owner.
I can't believe I bought and received my guitar from Colorado to Toronto all in less than a 24 hour turnaround time. I must say that Wildwood Guitars is a fantasic store to deal with. Top notch! Best price on both the bass and shipping - by far.
Awesome customer service!
