I believe it is a closed group on FB,and that you would have to get approval to join. Fortunately,Joey is the moderator,or curator,(whatever) of it......

We welcome new members to the FB group.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Does this mean the RRF as a non FB web site is pretty much dead?

I hope not!

I'm a member of the FB group, but I really hardly ever look at it...
Or most of FB for that matter...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Nope, not an admin there.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Certainly not dead, but has been in decline IMHO for a few years.

Lack of interest in Ricks, etc. or in this place, in particular? As mentioned elsewhere, FB is jumping, so is it the format, the people who spend time here, color choices...?

Facebook is a lot of fun but is not, at least yet, easily searchable.

Formats such as the RRF are searchable and allow for a more intuitive organization of information.

People leaving is anything but a decline in what a site has to offer.

I notice people come here to advertize so our wee fourm still seems to have some merit.

Each to his or her own. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all people whether it be here or FB.

I am just happy we are talking Rickenbackers.

This is still THE PLACE when it comes to all things Rickenbacker!

Cheers!

Edit:speaking of searchable,i followed the link listed above to an older post, which also had a link to a sound sample of Tom's 8 string. (Which was absolutely awesome sounding, both the tone and what Tom played). This was from a post from 5 years back that i had somehow missed seeing until now. Most cool! I would like an 8 string fretted laredo and 4 string fretless Cii in my future.
