That's true to a point. But no matter how good a guitar sounds, if it isn't comfortable I'm not going to play it very much.
It's a matter of levels and payback. I honestly can't see variation from one 330 to another being enough to steer me away if I otherwise liked the guitar.

The medium case is that my 650C and 660 aren't as comfortable to me as my "normal" Rics, but I still play them and enjoy them. (Oddly, the same neck on a 660/12 feels right....)

The extreme case is that I'd probably sell my Gresch and Firebird if I could find anything else that sounded like them. But they remain. :D
