There's some info here that might help...

Depending on their post width, my guess is that they may fit a 70s EB-0/3s, Rippers, etc.
ID these tuners?

Re: ID these tuners?
Mark, glad Joe put you on to Flyguitars. Lots of good solid info there! Yes, the early Rippers had "reverse" tuners, as Kluson used the same gear arrangement as with their full sized keys on upright basses and the Fender P and J bass tuners and the Gibson T-bird bass.

Re: ID these tuners?
Thanks Joe (and Jim)
Yup, that seems to have ID'd them, especially with the pics and the two comments on that page.
I think I'll start offering them for trade on here and see if anyone wants them before casting my net wider.
Cheers
PS It's all still a bit vague, but I do seem to remember a picture I took maybe in the mid-'80s of a Grabber or Ripper with my Flying V bass, and I do remember seeing the little bits of very untidy routing to let the tuners sit flush with the back of the head. Actually, the more pics I look at in Google images, the more flashes come back to me. I wish I still had my old pics, all long gone now
