Have to agree with Scott. AFIK, that period was about the only loose time in RIC's history. Compared to Gibson they still had their game together. At least you don't have to wonder about what a serial number means for a Rick at any time...

What am I missing here? Prototype? what's different about it... the yellowed white one, right? Is that it? an early year for white?

Hey Jason,
It's the single truss-rod that knocks the expert-texperts out of their all-knowing saddle.
And the inlays are weird as well. As well as the wings.
JH did say there's a record of it leaving the factory as Jet-Glo. That said there's NO evidence of a refin anywhere on it.
The mystery continues...
