I've had Tony at Pickguardian make a few for me with the "old" shape, but the new hole positions. They all fit just fine...

Yeah, that's one. I also had one made for the walnut back, flame maple one-off, moved the neck pickup to the 1'2 inch position since the body was already routed for it and removed the "double hump" in the process...

Tony has made several for me, two each for the '04 4003FL and the '08 4003 I had, in several different materials for me.

Just wanted to point out that the Rickenbacker corporate website still shows pics of 4003's with the non-humped guard.
