I saw that Harry B from the East Bay indicated a preference for Sunday July 26th as a workable date. Does that proposed day jive with other's schedules ?? I think that weekend of July 25-26 would work for us to be in the Bay Area.

I have two airline tickets that I need to use before October 1. This seems like a perfect opportunity to use one of them. Any of the dates would be okay with me.

Just looking over my company's vacation calendar,i should probably be good for any weekend in July. There is the peripheral thing of getting the weinerdog-sitter booked, ,but hopefully that won't be a problem,either.

I mentioned this on the Facebook page, I'll post it again here. Have to speak to the Mrs. first, but if and when we have a BARC, I have a semi-detached room with full bath and queen bed available to RRF members who may need a place to stay. PM me or get in touch via Facebook...Be good to see all my RICK pals again ! Only room for one, unless you feel cozy.....

I received PMs from Gareth H and Gary F indicating that July 11th does not work for them, after all, but they are interested in attending BARC, if another weekend might be workable with others. Looks like Harry (Hieronymous) is now have scheduling problems for the entire month of July and he will have to bow out.

Paul W is interested. John A is also interested, depending upon his availability and Steve Buddydog is up for attending BARC and Richard H wants to come out from Texas.

Maybe we need a straw poll about July 18-19 or July 25th-26th as considerations, to try and find some consensus ....

I think either of those later-July weekends will work for me, but as I mentioned, the 11th got eclipsed, as we have a wedding to attend. I understand all those July weekends are workable for Kira.

Meantime, has anyone had any contact with Michael Skelt or Lefty 4001-Johnny ....haven't seen them on RRF for awhile.

Just let me know what you decide.

Oh man, I wish I had known about this six months or so ago. I'll be up in Portland, OR between July 9-23. And I won't have any time to make a trip down to SF as I'll be house sitting for some folks.

I almost made it to one of these a few years back. Alas, it's just a wee bit far these days at something like 7,000 miles.

Woody, you are correct, the 11th idea is dead and Doug F is now checking out potential site locations for either

Sat or Sunday July 18TH or 19TH
Sat or Sunday July 25th or 26th

I think a tentative list of BARC attendees is shaping up to be :

Paul W
Kira
Gary F
Gareth
John A (of the Bobbleheads -- he will confirm for sure when he gets back from vacation)
Doug F he is coordinating the event site
Steve F. (Buddydog) coming up from Fresno
Woody coming from Oregon
Richard (whthor) coming from Texas
Rich Coming up from So Calif


Am not sure if other So Calif folks may be attending ... there might be a chance for Joey & Diane; I have not heard from Gary (doctorwho) in a while, but I will try and track him down; Paulie A is out for sure with the Bar Exam coming at tend of July; One never knows with the Snowman -- if he is not touring, he might show up And sometimes Dan-o has business travel that takes him in the vicinity of Northern Calif, so he is a possibility.

Kira do you have e-mails list or PM list of the several other attendees who were at the irst and second BARC gatherings ?
