and thanks for all your helpful responses! Good point on saying I might just have the wrong bass haha, but I've come to love the HB1 pickups! I'm normally much more of a trebly guy and like my bass to sound as much like a lead guitar as possible, but I'm getting sued to these pickups and sound

Bassicaly.......What you have in your control cavity chokes off your basses top end and clarity, and what I build restores it....
