It came up on the Facebook RIC group in November 2014. Discussion back then thought the fretboard had been replaced for sure.

Yep, the Turkish one is a faker, bridge in particular is way wrong. I haven't seen any Chinese copies that look like that, wonder where it's from, and who's stupid enough to pay $10k for it?

Bridge looks like a cast aluminium type, sided by two pieces of scratchplate

Yep, may have had a replacement bridge at some stage that required some routing, hence the two mini covers. Grovers look correct and well-worn. An excellent original condition '71
might be worth $10k given the right features (though I think that would be a little "toppy"), but this heavily modified example isn't.

The first thing I did was to check your book to find out in which years' rick this one may correspond

Now since I have the opportunity, I really want to thank you personally for that. It's an amazing book.
