Ash, this is such a great looking bass! Outside of Paul's "Snow White", I don't recall seeing another 4001V63 in white. To me, this looks better than the 4001C64 white basses. And of course, it must sound great with the horseshoe pickup in it. Do you have the .0047µF cap in-line with it? I put the cap in my '98 4001V63 when I installed the magnetic horseshoe pickup.
Thanks for posting more photos of the bass.

The chrome on my horseshoe pickup still look fine for something around 53 years old. I've put it on three basses, now.

I do have the .0047 cap installed, but I also have one of Dane Wilder's harnesses with a push/pull treble volume control that allows me to engage it or disengage it as I wish. I like and use both sounds.

That's probably because you don't sweat battery acid, like I do, Jeff!

I ordered one of these back in the late 1990s and the place I got it from was doing a big business in 4001v63s in all of the colors that Rick offered back then. I know Jetglo had to have been a pretty common color for them. If you could post a pic, we could determine almost certainly...
Oh no worries, I wouldn't consider it a hijacking. I'm always into pics of v63's.
I no longer have the pic saved because I found a great c-list deal on a '12 4003 in Fireglo. But this bass looked a LOT like the white one posted below, just black.
It was extremely cool and I wanted it bad, but it's in such good shape, and it had a really nice vintage style case, and I needed something I would worry less about traveling out of town with and playing hard. This black one was definitely something that needed to stay in someone's studio for that one track where it's needed.
Maybe slightly blasphemous but I really really like the newer 4003's a lot, compared to older 4003's and 4001's. I've owned an older set-neck 4003s with a replacement horseshoe pickup and an 80's 4003, and my new one just does it all.

That really is a gorgeous bass, Ash. It would match my 360/12 nicely.
One of these days when I can justify having two Rick basses, I'll get myself a V63.
