Heh, Chianti glo, that's great! My first thought was "I wish they were all posting these photos here...", but then realized it will be more pleasurable to wait for my second edition to see them all together, looking forward to it!

What camera gear do you have available to use, Andy? If you have at least decent ceiling lighting in your living room/dining room, wherever, and a tripod, you should be able to make more than adequate photos with the available light. That is what I have been doing since the photo lab/studio went out of business at the end of 2012. Example photo below using just a 100 year old 5 arm chandelier in the middle of the dining room at our house:

I used my Canon 6D on a tripod so that I could deal with the relatively slow shutter speed needed to make this photo. Don't forget to use a shutter release cable, or, at least, the self timer to avoid camera shake. Failing that, send the bass to me ASAP and I will take care of making the photos for you.
Whatever you do, don't use on-camera flash, that makes thing look terrible.

Thanks, all. Deadline is fast approaching. Figure if I don't get a photo by Feb. 15, it isn't going to make it in. I've received photos of just about every official model/finish now from many sources. Photos of custom one-off finishes or specially modded Ricks are welcome, but will be placed on a space-available status. I can't promise to use ANY photo, but when I do, I will give full credit to the photographer/contributor.

Hey Jeff! I have a Leica D-Lux, but no tripod...
I'll see what I can get tomorrow

Paul did you include Brandon's cool one off sno-glo 4002?
That one really impressed me, and shows the endless possibilities if RIC one day opened (or licensed) a custom shop.

Yes, Brendan sent me photos of that one. On the one-offs and customs, I'll probably add some, but it will be on a space-available status. I've got dozens to choose from. On the limited-run specials, I haven't decided whether to add them to the particular model chapter or as a stand-alone chapter.

That looks like a very nice little, compact camera.

Just begging for a small, sturdy tripod for photographing musical instruments with.

Say, something like a compact Gitzo like my 1980s era 226 with 275 ball head.
