I do JB. Larry and I came to the conclusion, that it too, was possibly not original...but, it's still here!sloop_john_b wrote:Wints, please tell me you kept the green upper wing!
It's very light Sean. I can't remember if it felt heavier before...it's been too long since I played it on a regular basis. What I do realize after playing my 60's Jazz and P bass mainly for the last couple of years is just how delicate and small the whole bass feels, especially the neck and board.xsubs wrote:How much has the weight changed Andy? Most of these early basses were pretty light...
Thanks Tony! Larry's work here was superlative!opticnerve wrote:Late to the party...

And kudos to Larry...brilliant job!
Now we're into the acoustic section Paul.bassduke49 wrote:I know what you mean. Now try a Höfner 500/1. It'l feel like a toy and make the Rick feel like an anvil! The typical German-made Höfner weighs less than five pounds.
Then try an older 4005...wints wrote:Now we're into the acoustic section Paul.bassduke49 wrote:I know what you mean. Now try a Höfner 500/1. It'l feel like a toy and make the Rick feel like an anvil! The typical German-made Höfner weighs less than five pounds. This is a Hofner free zone!
