I skimmed over it Peter, and was quite surprised to see artists and songs I didn't recognize as having anything to do with Rickenbacker instruments. I frankly didn't have the time to read it through, so I can't comment further on it. I think the writer of that article largely skipped over Rickenbacker's Golden Era; the 60's.

To clarify, Wendy Melvoin used a heavily-modded (G&L pickups) 330 on "Purple Rain", not Prince.
Ed O'Brien used his 360 MG/BT (stolen in Denver in 1995) for the arpeggios on "Creep".
