Still using TI on my toasterized 4003. But I would love to try low tension Labellas and Optima RB4440 too.

I tried the Ernie Ball Group III.
Thanks for the recommendation! I went with them for price and hoping they would sound as good as they Cobalt Flats. Plus I wanted a little higher tension, which they have 7 lbs. more.
I have two toasters on my 4003.
They Group III flats sound just like my favorite Cobalt Flats, but they are stainless.
They also are as bright as Roto SM66 strings but have more penetrating fundamental and can also get full round warm tones if desired. No more finger noise and no pick scraping sounds.
They are super silky smooth on the fretting fingers, unlike the cobalts which are stickier.
Smooth as chromes but livelier sounding than chromes.
Just for reference:
EB Cobalt flats 40-95 is 148.3 lbs
EB Group III Stainless flats 40-95 is 153.02 lbs.
Chromes ECB80 40-95 is 163.1 lbs.
Roto SM77 Monel flats is 178.57 lbs.
Roto SM66 rounds 40-100 is 155.38 lbs.

Like on your Snowglo...yeah, I guess so. I still have the set Jdog sent to me a long time ago. I had them on my 4001S for a while. Besides being too loose I missed the sound of roundwounds on that Rick. Maybe I'll give them a go again on a different Rick.

Like on your Snowglo...yeah, I guess so. I still have the set Jdog sent to me a long time ago. I had them on my 4001S for a while. Besides being too loose I missed the sound of roundwounds on that Rick. Maybe I'll give them a go again on a different Rick.
Try them on your 4005.

Never had a 4005, never had the desire for one...but I do kick myself for not picking up a used one that was super cheap at a local GC about 15-16 years ago. It was only about $1,200 because the finish was a mess.
