Jeff, I think the problem is that Dedgoat only had one project to sell and so many of us want it;-).

I was a little dissapointed to see that one cancelled.

Marc, you mean you didn't get it? I figured you made a deal. I guess I wasn't the only lurker.

I have had a yen for a 4000 project bass for some time. There is something very attractive about the simple, stripped down features. They are like old hot rods. I guess I just love the vibe.

I cut a local deal for silly money, couldn't pass it up, sorry about that, but if it falls though I'll post here first before listing it.

I would have bought it just for the transitional pickup alone, that is a pretty rare thing, especially as original equipment on a 4000, I bet that 4000 was really an old one that didn't get shipped for a long time from the factory. What other old features did it have dedgoat?

I took a look at the pots just see about the date, and they are Mexican and date to mid 70's, so much for being original. Anyway the pickup was all that was left of the original bass, some idiot changed out the trussrod cover and pickguard and filled the bridge cavity. They mounted the pickup into the pickguard and threw away the surround. My plan was to take it back to jetglo and add a horseshoe.
