Noel,

I completely forgot about him doing that until you posted... now I can see it vividly in my mind.

Not to be out of line, but I completely agree with you. Peter Koppes seemed much more "together" in terms of equipment and appearance. I was somewhat surprised in their pedals though -- they were using Line 6 delays, etc... I figured they would have some older, vintage delays.

But yeah, MWP's stuff all looked like it had been drug behind a truck on a gravel road -- especially that 12 string acoustic he brought out at the end.

Check out The Church's new cd el Momento Descuidado. Some great acoustic stuff on there. An excellent version of "Tristesse." MWP is doing his best Bob Dylan impression.
