John,
Dang I wish I was a great photographer.
That was an illustration I downloaded from somewhere.
Wish I had the chance to see a bunch of dolphins wearing shades in front of me someday and that I could take a pic like that. That would ROCK big time!

Let me see, if Chris just turned 56, that means he recorded Close To The Edge when he was 24? Late bloomer, I guess.

Sigh.

I got a surprise birthday gift from my drummer here last night, I saw Jon Anderson last night. It was mostly an acoustic show, was very good except for one rather strange event, he played a version of "Owner of a lonely heart" that made Britney Spears sound like a serious artist. Was a dance mix, was very strange as his set was kind of subdued up to that point, then he did his last song again on acoustic. (The title of his show is "work in progress" He did bits of some early Yes songs, all in all, it was an enjoyable concert, (except for his Britney routine) and made me want to see Yes. His voice was great, he speaks as high as he sings.
The venue held about a thousand people and it was almost full. We had the VIP seats as he does transportation for some of the airlines here. He told me that he has had Chris Squire over his house ( I told him I thought it was BS. haha!)
Yes is playing here in November, I'll be back in the States.
No Rickenbackers in sight, he had a rather strange triangular shaped acoustic guitar amongst three or four, it sounded good though. He's actually a good piano player, played and sang a kind of jazzy thing during the middle of the set, a little more of that and and a little less Britney and it would be a great concert.

Thanks Jerry,
No thank God he didn't show his navel. Was a complete surprise, called me about 2 hours before the show started.
