Pickguardian can probably do the pickgaurd, and maybe you can exchange the TRC for a gold one.

I've often wondered if you could do an exchange for a different style TRC. Is this possible Kenny?

Steve: Last time I checked, as long as you have a trussrod cover to exchange and don't mind buying a new one I believe that it is entirely possible.

I just exchanged the black with gold letters TRC from my 4004Cii for a vintage white TRC. Looks great and proper on the bass. RIC should abandon the modern TRC and go back to the lucite vintage ones as they look so much better. Also, as the headstocks on the 4004 basses are the vintage shape and size, the larger vintage TRC fills it out better.

Jps: I too really like the vintage white lucite TRC.

I can see there being a problem in that RIC doesn't make a bass that uses a gold TRC. Would a gold guitar TRC fit a 4003? Is it possible to do this swap (again understanding that you'd be returning the original TRC and paying for the replacement).

Steve,
Ask Chris at Pick of the Ricks.
He is currently displaying an '03 4003 in Turquoise with the Gold TRC and pickguard.

The gold vintage TRC should fit but you may have to drill one hole at the top for the end screw. I did on mine bit I have no intention of returning it to stock.

I'm a-dredgin' up an oldie. What can I say? I dig the Blue Boys.
We know the F is in Japan. I've heard murmurs about the acoustic being somewhere on the east coast, and the bass also being in the US somewhere (Mike?).
Spill it, boys.
