Only Jeff gets my humor (i.e. humour). In Australia, stereo is denoted as Out and Back.

Do toilets flush backwards down there?

Yeah, Paul and Bob can compare notes on which way the toilets flush! What is your reference when saying "backwards"? Maybe up north it's backwards. (Time for a deep philisophical debate on backwardness!)

Jps, we should also include in that debate the up/down-north/south issue. If the 'world powers' that colonized/exploited/ruined the rest of the world had been located in what we call the southern hemisphere, maps of the world would have the north pole at the bottom and the south pole at the top.

I had a dream once in which I was looking at a map of the coast of California and the Pacific Ocean was on the right - and I wasn't looking at the map upside down, either!

Out of interest, where did you buy your 4003 MB from , ws it Peter Cooks Guitar World in Hanwell?

I was extremely tempted to order one myself but I already have a 4003MG fretless on order with them.

Robert...

Yes, I got my 4003 MB from Peter Cooks.

I had called Rics r Us and I was told I could have a Montezuma Brown for £999, but I would have to wait 6-8 months, because they were on order but not expected till then.

I was gonna go with that ,but I called Peter Cooks and they had two in stock so I went there next day and picked one up!

Trouble is, it hasn't satisfied my desire for a new Ric because I'm tempted myself now with a fretless!

If I do get a fretless, I don't suppose the Rickenbacker addiction will end there....I'll probably want a V63 or something!

Do the Aussie's really have their maps with south at the top and north at the bottom, or is that just a myth?

Martin...

When I ordered my 4003 fretless in October last year I was told it would be around 12 months delivery time.

You better get your order in now!
