Wish some of the other members could listen to the song and post their opinions. I could be wrong, but since I heard that song for the very first time (think it was in 1987), I thought that the band was playing Rickenbacker or, at least, that the lead guitar was a Rickenbacker 12 string. It could be a Burns, that´s true. But if you listen to the lead guitar on 'Words' and then you compare it with the lead on 'I Should Have Known Better'... well, the sound is so similar!

This is a fab thread, indeed!

Miguel: I am having trouble locating the Mascots material online. I am, unfortunately not able to list to your posted thread. When I hear "Words.." I will be pleased to comment. One thing for sure, you have me curious.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention where you can buy some Mascots material. Yes, Peter, it´s difficult to find it, even in Sweden! You can try in Midnight Records (New York) www.midnightrecords.com
They have in their catalogue a great comp which includes 'Your Mascots' (the first Lp of the band) plus 'LP' (the second). Think it goes for 19.99 USD.

One more. This is the cover of the first LP of The Mascots (I believe it was released in 1965).
