You mean like a 4080 with a 6-string and a 12-string neck? I'm positive such model has never seen the light of day.

It would seem easier to make a solid bodied double necked guitar than a hollow bodied one (at the factory).
I think it would be cool to have the necks at 180 degrees, and spin the guitar like ZZ Top when you want to play the other neck. That, or have a left handed played stand next to you and play the same guitar. Wait, the strings would be upside down for him. Never mind.

For your amusement, I've attached a couple of pictures of "double-neck" bodies. In the first, the necks are parallel, although they may be too close to be play the upper neck comfortably. In the second, they're at a 15 degree angle. I also constructed the 2nd one to show an overlay of the two bodies to give you an idea of what needs to be cut.

One thing that you can see is that the back end of the body will have an "indentation" from the curvature of the bodies, particularly when the necks are angled. I presume your proposed use of a third piece of wood is to fix this.

I think its a big gamble for someone who doesn't seem to be sure of what he's doing. The project is a great idea but you should find a luthier that would help you in the details that will make the instrument playable and desirable!!!
