Jared, Jared, Jared, did you also buy a lottery ticket that day? There was a MID 4003/5 on eBay last year that I lost in the last minute (did someone here get that one?). That is a beautiful bass...nice score!

I once paid $36 at a flea market for a 1967 (or '68, not sure) Gibson Melody Maker in its OHSC. A co-worker was with me when I spotted it, she's my wife today, so she understands the thrills of bargain bass hunting.

Great finds like Jared's make me very optimistic.

has anyone tried those blue DR's?

I think they came out after the Black Beauties buy have never seen them.

I think they're called Peacock Blues...

there's also red (Red Devils) and silver (silver stars)

Getting a little crass but Red Devils might look cool on a Redneck!
