Yup, saw Mike's guitar and could even tell what it was from the shape of the headstock. But has anybody played one?

I've played my friend Bob's...it's very solid and quite high-quality, though sound character is pedestrian. He uses it as his #1 stage guitar, although his extensive Rick collection gets good rotation and a real workout, too. I've been at gigs where he played both his white 362/12 and his JG one. It's not uncommon for a half-dozen Ricks to be on a rack within reach.

When was the last time you saw anyone (except Mike Campbell) haul out a '61 Capri onstage for a Petty song? That would be Bob.

They are fabulously made and look kind of like Gretsch meets Hofner meets Rick all put through an art-deco filter.

I had dismissed them as gaudy, but then our local guitar genius was raving about them last time we had coffee... He's the sort of guy who has just one nice electric and one nice acoustic, but can make them sound like anything you care to name in any genre. For him to be excited, and even considering a purchase, they must be pretty darn fantastic....

Sorry, but I don't think they're good looking at all. Yes, they're Reverend-ish. In my mind that's not good. They're also Zemantis-ish, Gibson-esque, Hamer-like, and Gretsch-influenced. Say that 10 times fast.

This is even more Rick-like than the black one posted before. Is it just me, or is RIC the only one who can make a slash-soundhole look like it even belongs on a guitar?
