"According to the demographics derived from our warranty cards, the median RIC owner has five of our instruments."
I wonder if Mr. Hall counted himself in that number? That might skew the average a bit

I currenty have four and I had another one in the past so five is just about right for me. Eventually I will get a 660 so then I will concurrently have five.

Let's see...I've owned a '78 4001, '75 4001, '66 4005, '76 3001, '75 3000,'76 3000 and a '79 3000. The '78 was the only one I bought new. The short scale 3000's are definitely the best basses I've ever played. I know that's hard to believe with only one pickup and a bolt on short scale neck but it's true. I've played Gibson, Fender, Kramer, Yamaha and Hofner short scales and these basses blow them all away on every level. Although not exactly stock, they do have all Rickenbacker parts and represent what Rickenbacker could build for players with smaller hands. Bill Wyman once complained about the lack of good quality short scale basses and he was right. So Mr.Hall, please build a short scale bass so I too can have new warranty cards to send in!

I know how it is.... My husband bought me my first Ric about 2 years ago, and now I have 13! There will always be niches to fill in a Ric collection, LOL!

Hey Melissa, you don't happen to have a picture of all of them together do you?
I remember you posted a few of them maybe but I can't remember seeing them all in one place.

I currently have 2, a 4003MB and a 660 MG. I also have a 660MB on order along with a 380L-PZ.
I've regretably sold a 4004C-II a couple years ago, I'll miss that bass til I get another.

Patrick, I don't yet have a picture of all of my Rics together--right now we just don't have the space to take a photo like that.... But I am hoping to take one soon; we are in the middle of building a large addition on our home, which will provide the space and gorgeous backdrop for some nice Ric pics in the near future.
