Bachman played a model 375 Jetglo.

He got a great sound out of it too, the guitar on "Shakin' All Over" is a great sounding mid-60's garage sound, lots of reverb, similiar to the lead break in "Hanky Panky" I love that style. He was a very tasteful guitar player (most of the time) When I saw them as I mentioned before they were unbelievable, sounded just like their records.
I got a surprise today, my wife is Peruvian and likes Merenge, salsa and stuff like that. The only rock band she usually recognizes is The Beatles. When songs come on the radio I ask her: Do you know this? No. (is usually a very famous song) Today when "American Woman" came on, she goes "Oh Yeah I know that one", right from the beginning, she knew the lead guitar sound. So it had to have been a huge hit in Perú too.

Getting back to the timeline, Bachman formed a country rock band called "Bravebelt" after leaving The Guess Who at the height of their career. They recorded two albums (I & II) with the third album released under the BTO name.

Allen (along with Randy and his brother Rob) was part of this group, writing half the first album and the single, Dunrobin's Gone, from the second, which is the album Fred Turner joined on. The two albums have been reissued as a double CD, and feature some good tunes that bridge between The Guess Who and the heavier BTO sound.

You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet is definitely a BTO tune, from their third album, Not Fragile.

Talking about the Guess Who do any of you have
the CD Running Back Thru Canada? This is a live
CD and they sound just like they did back in the
70's they also do a couple of BTO songs Let it
Ride and Takin Care of Business. Randy plays a
Yamaha guitar and for the amp he used a Johnson
Millennium head & Cab. Does anyone know if live
show will be put out on DVD?
