Hey, the top picture is a four string!

That's right. 5 stringers weren't invented, yet.

Man this takes me back!I was 16 when i got my first Rickenbacker 6 stringer, nearly 24 years ago.I remember at the time that no other guitar would do, they just had the vibe. My mum (thanks mum)bought me a solid body jetglo 450(then £300.00)and i payed her back from my paper round.Damn that was alot of papers.I still have the bug for these guitars and have owned 12 more since.

The fireglo on Jeff's '68 looks as deep then as it does now. I thought maybe it was a result of aging, (the bass, not Jeff) but it looks like it was that nice when it came off the line. The old fireglos are SO nice...

I got my first 4003 when I was 16. I have gone through many basses and a lot of Ricks since then. I miss my first one but it is long gone...

I've been registered here for a few weeks, but this is my first post. The Rickenbacker forum is great - lots of excellent information.

It's good to see the young players thread. I have wanted a Rick since I was 14. I'm 56 now and got my 650D a couple of months ago. I love it and will never let go of it. Next on the agenda is a 4003 Jetglo or Fireglo. Haven't decided yet.

Got my first 4001 when I was 17, ('72 Burgundyglo)

Gigged it, loved it.
She turns heads at shows for sure.

(I met my girlfriend thanks to her curiousity in the 4001's tone, too. Image )

Timberlake probably owns a *shootload* of vintage gear. . . just because he can.

Hell, he probably owns half of Liechtenstein.

NIce axe, btw!
