I did see a Sea Green v63 that went on ebay on a BIN for around $2600.00 right around the time Tim sold his.(I think it was about a week after) The auction lasted less than a day. I showed Tim the auction and asked if it had anything to do with his and he confirmed that it did not. I don't think it was the one from Mike Parks page either. I too had the Jones for a Sea Green v63! I've seen at least 2 4003s in that color sell on the 'bay as well. I do have a photo of me playing her(Tim's), but that and the memory are all I have! I'm looking forward to seeing pix of Marc's...any idea when she'll be done Marc?

I've always like the seafoam green, but it looks even better in person.....I guess it's an acquired taste? It's sort of a "retro" look with the chrome trim.....makes me want a '57 Chevy!!
I'm glad I have an "understanding" wife....
....now, onto that patio project...

He did say it was just under $3k....that was probably the one then.
I think Marc is waiting for the bass to come back before he posts again with pics....it'll be the his 1000th I believe.

It certainly is a nice looking bass and must be nice to have a 4001v63 that is different from most. Nice buy. As to whether you "overpaid" or not, desirable things usually cost more. You would probably regret more not buying it.

Exactly...keep hold of that one Chris. I,m still waiting for a 4003 to come up, to see how much one of them will fetch...

Andrew - Don't worry, I put the v63's and the Shadow I got from dedgoat on the do not sell list....they are personal favorites all. I made the mistake of selling my previous v63 and I regret it to this day.....
They, especially the seagreen, are "keepers"....

Welcome to the club Chris! And just to set the record straight, I was the one who purchased Tim's Sea Green V63 - it isn't going anywhere!

HAHA! Thanks Steve!
AWESOME finish , isn't it?
I was playing mine last night, sitting in my favorite chair and my wife said it's her favorite color so far...how about THAT! She actually LIKES this one!! I guess it's a keeper like yours...
...gotta put flats on it though.... :^)
I saw over at the Dudepit, I think, that someone mentioned there were only around 11 of these in this finish, is this correct?

Hey Chris,
The production figures I've heard are right around that mark. I believe Tim Sarter might have told me that after he talked to RIC. Yeah the sea green series are very sweet. It's my favourite finish of all time, and I kicked myself for not getting one during 2000, so when Tim's became available I had to have it. I'd love to pick up a 4003 SG but they're few and far between as well.

Steve, I begged Tim to sell that Sea Green to me. I loved the finish so much I had to create one of my own.
Searching for that Sea Green is what led me to the forum in the first place.
