Ed's got Lemmys! (3)

Believe me, I'll be perfectly happy just to have it in my hands (and I'll believe it when I see it)! But I also like numerology games, and after waiting over three years, it doesn't really matter whether or not I wait another month or two (especially if the reports that the quality of the top carving is "improved" are accurate) ...
My basses are Rickenbackers. My synthesizers and recording gear are analog.
I bought my Lemmy (#9) in 2002 for $2000 - It was sitting in the window of Sam Ash - I walked by it and was blown away, but couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a bass I really didn't need. After thinking of nothing else but that bass for a day, I called them up and had them hold it for me to pick up. Needless to say, I've never regreted that decision! The center piece of my collection....
Honestly, If he had said 5K, I'd have bit. At 7K I'm still thinking about it. I understand the Shadow and Rednecks are just as rare but, the craftsmanship is unbelievable on this.
Only thing is how do you lay out thise kinda bucks without even trying it out.
