Ted
This 4002 is legit as I know the seller of this bass and I have been in constant touch with him for some time now and he has the full history of this bass that he imported from the USA so yes the pictures are off the bass sold by mike parks, my 4002 on the other hand was the only 4002 mapleglow imported via Rickenbacker at the time and is almost identical to the one for sale so being based in the UK it must be pretty rare for two 4002s to be around the only other example I have seen over here was a walnut finished one but the guy would not sell me it but I keep trying as a pair of these 4002s would be even more special.
For all those Rickenbacker fans who have never played a 4002 I can tell you all that this truly was one of the best sounding basses Rickenbacker ever made and I should know as I have had many Rickenbackers through my hands over the years from 4001s to 4003s and of course the 4002 that I still use live and in the studio and it just sounds mega.
All the best Dave Carr
Anyone got an extra 4000 GBP ?
