Hey Randy-
Those "horseslippers" fit right over the hi-gain pickup, no mods necessary.
The aluminium (UK spelling) doesn't affect the sound at all. I have made carbon steel versions and was told that this would disrupt the sound. That's a lot of rubbish, no difference to me.
On paper or in theory yes, practical application-no

and I remember seeing what you did figured I would follow in your footsteps and go with the Aluminum (US spelling) to make one. Make a few up I am sure they will sell right here on the forum!

I forgot about the Combo 650 and of course, the earlier Ricks, the Spanish Electric models and the Ken Roberts to name a couple others. Plus the original Frying Pan, we mustn't forget the beginning!
