What ohm speaker is stock for the M-8. Mine has a 4 ohm in it now but that may not be right. What manufacturer speaker was stock for the amp?

David: While I would like the amplifier gurus to respond here, I am betting that you have an original 4 Ohm 8" speaker on your amplifier and probably a Jensen. Photos would be nice to assist us in learning more about these amplifiers.

Does it have dual inputs with the tone controls on the back of the amplifier.?

I believe that the M-8 was fashioned, at least in part, after the Fender Champ and as such it would seem to me that 4 Ohms is likely.

My m-8 had a Jensen speaker in it that was blown when I got it, but the repairman who fixed it said that it was original. I agree with Peter that it is 4 ohms as well... They are GREAT recording amps! Just stick an SM57 in front of the speaker and off you go...
