Installing a third pickup on that 4005? I'm for, of course. Need a pickup, Graham?
Also, I second Jeff's 'motion' - 3 volume controls/1 tone control.

I believe Rhoads Music has a correct bridge for a 4005 in stock for $300.00. Together with another Toaster and re-wiring to 370 guitar specs, this bass would be very cool while appearing like a factory peice.

I'll bet the middle pickup on that already wonderful sounding bass will sound ever wonderfuller.

I can vouch for Sérgios pickups as can many others around here, I put one of his adjustable toasters on a, gasp! Hohner fretless just to check it out and it sounds great. It was a 2 minute job that's why I did it, I'll install it on a proper bass as soon as I have the time.

If it's any consolation it blows away the stock Hohner PU and it is a 60's bass, and it's a semi-hollow body like a 4005, kinda stretching it a bit now huh?

don't feel bad ... we are not all purists here ... I was thinking of getting an iceman bass ... convert it to a 5 string and put in 4004 pickups ...

Living in HMP usually involves quite a small one bedroomed abode. You may be there quite a while too. No room to store your Rics either...
