If it's a '71, it's very late in the year. Mine is from September and is skunk stripe free with walnut wings on the headstock. The tuners look right but the pickguard is wrong. Here are a few reference shots of the tuners and hardware.

Here is a cross thread that I replied to in the wanted section. This place also had these bass tuners, but since I was not in the market I didn't notice the particulars. I remember at least two sets of the Grover bass tuners:

JK Lutherie from Harrison, Ohio had a number of used and new old stock tuners when they were at the Detroit guitar show about a month ago. I would call and or E-mail them to see if they have what you want. 800-344-8880 They have a web site but I could not find them there. http://www.jklutherie.com/ Good luck.

I e-mailed the store in Italy:

"Hi Lars, basso cost is 2500 euro, non original hard case, under the pickguard not visible widening bridge pick-up.
Thanks
Alberto Guizzetti"

That's about $3400! Wonder if he means neck pick-up?

Where is the pic where you can see the skunk stripe? I cannot see it. The Bridge pickup plate looks odd to me and I don't have one like that on my '71, but otherwise it looks like it could be a '71. I had to chuckle at the part where the seller says that Ric-o-sound became optional in 1971. hehe....
