Its a tough one Lars. I have bought one through my local Ric dealer, but the other came as a "parallel" (the correct term) from the US. The internet has opened things up hasnt it? Before the internet I bought my strings(Elites Stadium) from my local music store and they cost me £18. I now buy them from an excellent UK string supplier on the net for £10.50 a set. A huge difference. That is the way now. You can apply this to everything, whether it be guitars, electrical goods or cars.

Whoa Keith, £1425 retail!!!
Man, that's unbelievable.

Check out these RIC Japan sites and weep:
Shinseido (Japanese RIC distributor) List Price
RIC Asia Site By Shinseido, Retail Price
168,000 Yen=£880.

By the way, I love those cute VU meters on Ashdown amps!

Paul, That is the retail price. In reality you would always negotiate a discount of sorts with your retailer. Its a fool that doesnt at those prices. I have had a few makes of amp now. Peavey, Trace Elliot, SWR and now Ashdown. The Traces x3 were good, but the Ashdown is great in my opinion. The VU meter is a practical and functional piece of kit, they also look great! My amp has been used and used for hundreds of hours and just keeps performing! Heres the boast, I am also an Ashdown Artist, dont think I am worthy of it as my name is up there with some Biggies. Its a big thing to me, I appreciate being on there.
