Hey there Javi... (By the way, 'ol Pflash4001 and Bigbajo60 are co-natives of the city that they named the Laredo basses for!)

Just got back from tonight's gig. Where are you taking that thang? I hope you're not trusting just any 'ol body with that gem!

Anyway... I'll keep my fingers crossed for a quick fix for that BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL bass!

Oh and, uh... when it's all fixed up... could I... uh, you know... could I just, ummmmm... touch it?

Or maybe just smell it?

Hey Dave... I asked for someone in Texas! Where were you??? Anyway, I took it to Century Music in San Antonio. Should be ready shortly...I have another question for you guys. The original horseshoe pickup seems to be pretty demagnetized. I don't think it's going to have very much output. Can the magnets be re-gaussed? Is there a way to restore the pickup? If so, who does that kind of work? Thanks for the suggestions. And thanks Al, for pointing out this site to me over at Danny's Restaurant after another gig!

Oh no! I was at Century Music yesterday! It was about 5 PM, I went to Woodcraft (across the parking lot) to buy some router bits and stopped into Century to see what was new and talk with Bear, the bass guy. If I had known, I'd have arranged to meet you there.

Since you are the pickup guy (not that you've passed ME any lines in a bar or anything,) please take a look at my last post. Do you have any information about the pickup question about the horseshoe? Estou bem, mas ainda a recuperar dum belo resfriado (= I'm okay, but still recovering from a nasty cold.)
Well, actually I don't hang out in bars anymore - - the thrill wore thin a good many years back, haha. I think I'm kinda mellowing out, you know? Steadier ladies, a good cigar once in a while, more and more Rickenbacker basses...

Seriously, I do seem to remember reading about HS re-gaussing somewhere, maybe in the Archives, but I can't be sure. My guess is, your pickup can be restored. Cheers.

I believe it is Jason Lollar who does the regaussing.
