Congrats on the s5. I was happy when I got my 4003s8 off of the Dudepit for a good deal (not as good...but good) before anyone else saw it. It's a great feeling to stumble on something that you are looking for for a nice price. Enjoy!
.....I'd jump on a $1500 Blackstar (reasonable condition) and be too busy soiling myself to pull the trigger on one for $700

The Blackstar is great. Best playing bass I own. Really cuts through too.

Congrats Jeff,
I hit buy it now and it was gone.
Oh well, I didn't "need" it.

Kevin
Been there , done that!!
Welcome to the "Ya Snooze, Ya Lose" club....
"Oh well, I didn't "need" it."
Face the truth, Kevin....you DO "need" it!!

You're right, I did need it! I'm going to go cry now. Is it too early in the morning to crack open a Labatt's?
I have to keep repeating to myself, "Your saving for a V68, Your saving for a V68"!

Thanks guys. Like I said before...for once I was in the right place at the right time. This means that on my way home from work today a giant sinkhole will probably open up on the freeway and swallow me!
Kevin...sorry to snatch it from your hands. Its happened to me plenty. Its never too early for a Labatt's! I'll have one tonight for you! And I don't "need" it either! At some point a few years ago I probably crossed the "need" line!
The seller is making feel a little guilty. He knows how fast it sold and has joked with me twice about letting him re-list it.

Hehe, daft git! If that had a $1750 Buy Now it probably would have gone already. His own fault, init!

My guess is that someone else has e-mailed the seller and said something like "I would've given you twice that" or something to that effect, which has caused his second guessing....
That happened to me on that red/black 4003s/5 that I got for $500 BIN last year.....I did receive the bass though...whew!!
Good luck Jeff!!

Chris- Yeah...I figured that might happen. That's why I was hoping to lay low. I was the fifth guy on the auction's counter when I smacked the BIN button and I kinda wanted to not attract attention. Less people knowing = less people trying to sabotage.
Maybe I should stop posting this thread now.
