Yeah, thats my long term plan, right now I focus on getting decent food and text books (Ive been averaging 600/quarter just for books)

I was working fulltime and going to school full time up until December 5th, now I have loans for the next few months - then 'hopefully' Ill get a Co-op somewhere so I can alternate school and work.

Realistically I dont see my finances being stable or even in the black until after I graduate.

I teach college and understand your situation--my students pay thousands each semester for materials and supplies, and some of them, when they can't pay these bills, get credit from me to enable them to continue on.

So my heart's in the right place. Basically my comment was in the nature of "someday it'll all be worth it and you'll have the Rics of your dreams."

I think the only way your odds would be stacked against you more than they already are is if you got a 5-string. I ordered a blueburst 4003 the night they announced them, and I have a feeling I am going to be waiting a LONG time even on that. How fast did they start getting out the previous COY's out? I could only imagine how long the wait is going to be if you do it, but won't it be that much sweeter when it arives?

Industrial Design, where i'm the 3D Manager for the department. I teach Automotive and Product designers how to make the things that they draw on paper.

But the shop I'm referring to is my own shop. I've had my own prototype shop since 1975 (roughly).

For those of you not knowing how to pay for your bass when it comes in...shouldn't be ordering it.

1) Pay yourself first.
2) Diversifiction
3) Dollar Cost Averaging.
4) Save and pay cash!

If an order takes 18 months, you should be able to have the funds by then. If you don't maybe you're not trying hard enough.

I've used ebay to finance my last couple of basses. Just selling off junk I had lying around the house and garage. Its better than a garage sale.
