It's too bad it's not Mapleglo, that way we'd be able to map out the wood in the neck and the body.

The Swami has had a 1980 two pickup 4001s with a skunk stripe set neck for a while now, maybe they'd be willing to look under the pickgaurd and see if it was a 4000 conversion

That one has two mismatched knobs that are not in the correct RIC location. I suspect it is a converted 4000.
