There have been times when I have walked into guitar stores, usually Guitar Centers OR other types with commissioned sales people, and I KNOW they are going to start selling me the latest and greatest guitar. So, when I see sales people start walking over I look around to see how many Rickenbackers they have. Usually, it is none or few. Then, when they ask "can I help you" I say "yes, I would like to buy a ... (insert Rickenbacker model they don't have)" and they get all flustered. Some don't know what Rickenbackers are and need to "check their computer." I even asked about a Rickenbacker Lightshow at one store.
Anyways, it tells them too things. One, they cannot help me because they don't have what I want. Two, I like classy guitars!
Keep it up Michael!
By the way, I love Gibsons and I love Rickenbackers. My 360/12CW and my 1970 Gibson SG Standard are my two most prized possessions.

"Here he is, come to pay homage to the Rickenbacker display!" (Said to me by owner Bruce at the "Great House of Guitars" in Rochester, NY)
