By all means, if you want to talk about chili, designer sunglasses, teenager's braces, underwear, and the size of your shoes, beatgear cavern is the cat's meow.

Actually underwear has been rather on-topic lately here too. . .

Better we discussed thongs and bikini panties, rather than boxers or briefs.

So John, when will you have those Rick-logo boxers for sale?

Sorry. Dane and I are getting our posts crossed here...
For the record, my post was a response to McKelvy.
Beef heart will NOT be offered as an option or COY.

Yes, the noise level is rather high at times in the ol' Cavern, that's why we need more of your fine contributions, gents!
(A quick peek at page one of the Cavern shows topics devoted to: the Dallas show, a couple of threads on Hofners, Johnnie Johnson, McCartney ticket prices, Studer 4-track machines, Vox Continentals, Lennon's first letter to his father, Kluson vintage tuners, Lennon's '58 Rick bridge, etc. All these threads were active within the past 24 hours.)

It's down AGAIN today. WTF? Is it hackers or just instability? Bummer, it's indeed getting old. I know Nick's got some people baby sitting the site now to free up some time, I hope the Beatlegear site is done soon.
And just so ya'll know - my sunglasses cost $400, I sell gourmet chili on the internet, and someone stepped on my retainer last night.

Spencer...I love it, man! WTF became such a popular designation in the engineering office in Antarctica that I handmade a rubber stamp to classify in-house documents with...
I found a map and some survey notes that a crew of Navy Seabee guys had made of Marble Point on the continent across the sound from McMurdo Station in the sixties...I can only imagine the primitive conditions and gear these guys had to work with. Survey crews routinely give working names to geophysical features, most of which eventually get changed when final maps are made...these guys had done this. There on the preliminary maps, which were quite good...ink on mylar with official looking 'Leroy' lettering...was the name "Phubar Bay"...those were my kinda guys...

That's funny, I like Fubar too.
Around here we've got a bunch of them - WTF usually goes along with POS (piece of sh*t) so it's "WTF with that POS?"
And there's the FNG - the (f**king new guy).
Since I'm the designer/draftsman here at work and everyone's always waiting on drawings, I always tell my boss - "I got a DWG for your *** in my office RFN"
So VT is up and running again, since the overhaul a few months back, this seems to happen every couple of weeks. And the reason it's taking so long to register new users is probably because alot of people had to re-register and they're still in the process of doing that. Luckily I didn't have to.

Wow, another designer/Rick player! That makes at least four of us here...wonder how many others?
FNG was a popular epithet on the Ice, as well...but dates back to the Viet Nam 'insurgency'...we used to play a Tom Petty parody in McMurdo: 'You don't have to live like an FNG...'
