Brian, those two from Japan are pretty good. I just wish they were 8 X 10s!

I'm still working it Paul. Bjorn is doing some more research and he has contacted that guy about the thing. Just waiting to hear back. What do you think about the white on the back? Perhaps I should give you a ring next week and we can catch up and make sure we are tracking together. This part is half the fun though.

now that's before he sanded the horn down to a 'nub', correct? why did he do that anyway, when he already sanded the paint off??

Steve,
Is their any way of telling if the neck is painted white as well? I'm not able to tell from the shots you posted. Still great shots though. Thanks

What is under Paul's strings south of the treble pickup? Is that like a cloth or foam or something he's stuffed in there?

Probably the same thing as he did to the 61 Hofner for the Revolution film clip.

There are some decent shots of the back of the ric in this video at about 2:19 and 2:57-3:03
It appears to be mostly white, with maybe some fireglo left, im not sure.

Thanks Mike. Still trying to figure out if the white is on the neck as well. Hard to see. That spot where he picks it up and walks off looked promising, then he turned away.

The neck & headstock appear to still be Fireglo in this Let It Be footage.

Thanks Bill. I was thinking that just last night that someone had posted this still and a link to the video. Good catch.
I think we may be getting closer to a game plan.

Ok, this is probably way over the top. But I think the pic on the top, in spite of the quality, shows the back of the horn as being white and the back of the neck as being unpainted (still fireglo). The pic on the bottom just barely shows the same thing. The head goes back and to the left, back and to the left...
