A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Yeah, I enjoyed reading this old thread after seeing Snow White up for sale. I wonder why Sean sold it after owning her for less than a year. All the work that went into her. Any one know why it was sold? Has anyone heard from Sean recently??

Some people lose interest in their custom orders after they're done and are on to the next project.

Other times it's a financial issue.

I love both of my custom jobs. . . but I plan on a few more. 8)
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

Oh , I understand that completely but for someone that went through the long process with such detail and fanfare to replace a memory of an instrument he sold many years prior, he really did not have it that long. It makes me wonder if it did not sound like he had remembered or was unhappy somehow witht he finished product. Beautiful job by Dale but to own it less than a year and sell it? Does not make much sense to me unless it was economic.

I believe Sean had some health issues, forcing the sell.

Couldn't be further from the truth. I've played this bass and it is wonderful. I've PM'd you.
