I'm in...just snagged a room for Fri and Sat. As long as ScAirbus doesn't rain on my parade (like they did this week) you guys and gals will get to meet a consummate rock-star wanna-be geek with better gear than he deserves! I do come equipped with a generous quantity of barf bags for the queezy....

BTW, the jam night is really a party night so don't feel you can't come if you are not planning on playing. :D The more, the merrier!!!

BTW, is there a main RIO websie that actually list times, places and events scheduled? I'm a BIG Ric fan don't want to miss the event since I'm less than 40 minutes away! Excuse my lack of knowledge if this has been listed somewhere already. Thanks!

Welcome, Jim! :D Whereabout are you?

Here is a link to the venue of the confluence itself:

http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/c ... beachwood/

The confluence itself is on June 21st and will take place in both the combined Beachwood I & II rooms and the Boardroom. "Official" times are 10am to 6pm, although we will start getting instruments in place earlier. If you are bringing instruments, please bring stands as we do not have the resources to supply those. Some folks are bringing small amps to set up in the Boardroom for low volume jamming. The LOUD volume jamming/party will take place at Slam Jams Sports Bar in Solon at 6050 Enterprise Parkway, off of Aurora Rd. That should hopefully get started around 8:30pm or so, allowing for dinner and getting things ready after the confluence.

A lot of those traveling are coming in on Friday; informal get togethers and fine dining are planned (sushi, anyone?). Sunday we are planning on a Dim Sum brunch at Li Wah (the official RRF Chinese restaurant in Cleveland) :D

Please e-mail me with details of what you will (hopefully) be bringing, instrument-wise, where you are from, etc, thanks. Looking forward to meeting a whole bunch of new forumites!!! :D :D :D

BTW, if you check out the Conferences and Confluences section of the RRF you will find several threads relating to various things for RIO!!! :D

Seems the picture of the two Rickenbacker headstocks is becoming a symbol for Rickenbacker confluences. :D

Jim, I haven't been to Sushi Rock; my favorite haunt is Shuhei on Chagrin Road across from Beni Hana.

Shuhei Restaurant of Japan
23360 Chagrin Blvd.
Beachwood, Ohio 44122
Phone: 216.464.1720

Brian, there is plenty for you to eat there, it isn't only sushi, but a great Japanese restaurant. Besides there are LOTS of other restaurants in the area so there is plenty for all of us. :D
