I can't speak for everyone, but I want pictures of the reunited couple!

"Reunited and it feels so good..."

This is great, I think even ten years ago the bass would have been much harder to track down.

How much harder would it have been this time had the seller not posted the serial number?

True. Guess that proves they weren't 100% evil or else they'd have known not to do that.

I agree with that assessment, until I see what they did when they found out it was stolen and take it to try to pawn it.

The original intent was surely without reservation and forthright. But then the guy turned into 100% evil after that point. :(

Unbeliveable!!

If you get that thing back it's like a small miracle.

I still wonder who has Jimmy Johnson's Alembec that got stolen long ago.
That has been gone so long it's likely he'll never see it again.

After reading through the thread, this is how I think I would have handled it: I would have gone to a Private Detective, gotten wired up with a hidden camera and microphone, gone to the pawn shop, showed the police report to the propriator to clearly show that the shop was in illegal possession of MY property, paid the $160, and then as I was walking out of the store, said "see you in court!". After making a archive copy of the recording, I would then have gone to the police station and filed criminal extortion charges against the pawn shop, as they technically would be guilty of holding stolen goods for ransom. Felony conviction! Good-bye pawn license! I might also file civil charges against the pawn shop for the pain and suffereing of the ordeal to get MY property back ... and that would take a LOT of money to soothe!
