Any Devo song favorites you can suggest, so I can download a song chart/chords to have on hand ? :)

Do we need Energy Dome (flower-pot) hats for the occasion ?
Hey Rich, Don't tempt me! I do have an energy dome and I'm not afraid to wear it :)

I wrote those things on the song sign up sheet because although I understand and AGREE that the sign up sheet helps keep things moving smoothly (especially with a lot of people involved) and gives everyone a chance to participate and play their favorite songs, for me part of the fun of the jams are the organic song ideas and twists in the road that sometimes just happen.

This stuff doesn't need to be on the song list because it might not ever come up, but I've been known to break into Devo's Mongoloid and Gut Feeling, very early REM (Chronic Town stuff), The Cure's in-between days and Just like Heaven; and Mike S. Joey and I had some fun with Black Sabbath's Children of the Grave last time (and a few more). AC/DC and the Smiths too! We don't always get all the way through a song, but we have fun on the journey.

I think you and Paulie did some Kiss and Ozzy as well and you know I enjoyed that 8)

I like to see where the vibe of the people playing together at a certain time takes us. It's part of the fun of the "jam". :D

See you Saturday

Looks like it's going to be a great turnout!

Got water, firewater, chips and salsa packed. Now onto guitars, amp, pedals, music books...

Just splurged and bought 6 new Ultex .73's for the weekend. Last of the big spenders!

Some might think it's odd to have a pre-jam practice. But the guys that get togther to do so, aren't just fellow forumites, great friendships have been made. It 's nice to get together, whether we are jamming, having a meal or just hanging out. A pre-jam practice is a good excuse to do all three! :)

If you Kaya Reunion band members are lurking here, you're welcome to come to the mini-con if you'd like, whether you join in the jams and/or would like to play a set! :)

I brought the 4001 to SCARF, didn't think I'd pack it for this trip. I still need to clean 35 years of grunge off it. Except I'd rather noodle on it than clean it

Hopefully you have lyrics for "Jenny, Jenny 867-5309". I found the riff and the chords, but don't know where the bridges fit in. Also trying to figure out the pattern for the 2nd bridge. Maybe try it Friday night?
