Speaking of which, what is the fretboard material? It seems darker than the usual carribean rosewood in this photo. (And is truly beautiful).

I did hear back from another Rickenbacker dealer who got shut out on this run. Their claim was they were told by Rickenbacker that more would be made. Seems like Ric could have done that with the c64s even though there was some demand but didn't so, I'm not sure why they would do that here.

Indeed, I was set to purchase and the dealer said he was now unable to acquire it as well.
Update: A call to my old hangout guitar shop, where I'm still remembered after 30 odd years, has allowed me to be at the top of the list for their alloted two pieces. Whew!

If anything, this just enforces my belief that the Rick community is DYING for something new!
Even if it does kinda look like MapleGlo.

How much are the 4003 SG's going for?

The white-on-white looks really great.
I bet prices are dealer-specific, but since they are scarce and demand is up I wouldn't be surprised if they were a few hundred more than a standard finish 4003. I wonder if Wildwood gets any, they tend to be more than fair on their prices.

I know the 4001 c64 "Five-Off's" in 3 different colors (TV Yellow, Special White, and Special Green) a couple years back were @ $3500, IIRC...
I'm thinking these 15 SnowGlow's may be in that price range

They're priced at $400 above the standard list but of course the dealer decides the final price.
It's my understanding that from our side all 15 basses were sold within 10 minutes of the announcement but that doesn't mean every dealer has found a good home for every bass.
And if you're lucky enough to live in Germany, there's a bunch over there now.

I didn't get to see the announcement until I got home from work; I contacted Chris at POTR but he was already sold out. I do hope more become available, or else the money may go into a Wolf gas range!

I wonder if I can one of those in
white Snowglo?

More realistically, this one:
Wolf GR304 001.jpg
We don't need the DF and we only have space for a 30" range, anyway.
Here is where the range is going.

This would a nice COY, too, to get us back on topic!

Mr. Hall, can you give us a hint as to which Dealers in the US and Germany have them please, pretty please?
I'm running out of options.
