I also have a gig on the 14th. Im gonna try to slide in on Friday and hopefully meet a few of you. Its still early enough, anything can happen, I may get pi**ed off and quit the band Im in. (Soundman problems)

Scott, that soundman's name wouldn't happen to be Rick, is it?

Can we get the meeting room for an earlier time period? As Brian and Scott have gigs that evening, how about like, noon to 6 or 7 and then we can go out to dinner?

I personally have all day available.

Saturday the 14th is really bad for me Jeffery, I've got a battle of the bands contest Sat. afternoon and a gig that evening, It will have to be Friday or Sunday for me.

For those of us in town Friday we can still get together.

I'll shoot for Friday night if others will be around and shoot home late Saturday afternoon for my gig. Don't change the meeting room hours for me.......it seems as though Saturday night is better for most so keep it as is.

We'll work something out for the weekend. It will probably be a small number of people on Friday, so one of the rooms will hold us,,,or my house,,we'll figure it out. I was at Tony's house last night, he's looking forward to meeting everyone.

Randy - does the hotel realize that the confluence is going to involve a bunch of bass/guitar players going til 11pm? I hope the room is soundproofed!
I know that someone mentioned inviting Peter M and John H. but has anyone actually formally e-mailed them with an invitation?
I'm still debating whether to go - it's a long drive from Toronto!

I was actually thinking of making a surprise appearance but after 150 posts it still doesn't look like things are nailed down enough to bank on. Also, I note that the big downtown hotels are fully booked that weekend suggesting there's some other major event at the same time.

It seems pretty well set from what I see. The only issue is that a few of us will have to duck out early-ish for gigs. Perhaps your appearance will motivate some to attend that were on the fence

I think things are going to work out for this. There will be some spectacular basses and guitars there...but the enjoyment of each others company, swapping stories, etc...will be worth the trip alone....

John - if you're going to be there, I'll definitely make the trip from Toronto! I still might regardless, but that would really seal the deal for me.
