Yikes! Those are never fun. I got a 1/2" sliver in my left index last Saturday while running some pex at my chalet...yuck. Several hours at the local clinic and I was released Hope it heals quickly.

I am glad to hear it was relatively minor, Paul. A few years ago, Joe Zon reached for a large slab of wood as it was sliding and falling down from where it was standing against a wall and did some major damage to a hand. He is fine,now.

Hmm, I don't remember the 4005WB ever being in that kind of condition while I owned it!

Ouch, that's one way to find the rough spot on some hardwood!

Glad it wasn't a rusty nail, but that sounds painful too.

Paul, will this turn green like the factory Blueboy. When I traded mine to you it was mint green. With a hint of spearmint.

OK, I'm back. (Cheers, groans...) Strangely, my check box to be notified of new posts in this topic area had been somehow unchecked for over a month, so I've been kind of flying blind. Apologies to any who were not promptly attended to. This has happened before. The checkbox is renewed, so I should be able to catch these queries earlier now.

I have been scarce around these parts lately, and the thumb is healed and energy back up, so here's one I delivered yesterday AM. It's the bass that Gareth picked up as a basket case a few years back, and for which he made a new set of truss rods. His instructions when he brought it to me were to make it fretless, and do it in the Aquabass finish (light Aqua with deep blue/violet pearl shading). I also bound it in black.

Let the photos do the talking. BTW, this one really GRINDS with a set of TI Jazz Flats, .045-.100!
