The finish on Peter's guitar is indeed unique. It is also vaguely reminiscent of another custom refin by Paul, though this one is more on the "tangerine" side of the spectrum:

I can only imagine this forum in a generation speculating on all the custom color Rickenbackers, complicated by the factory also doing some one-offs.
