Is it my eyes, or is that an old bass refinished, or - Have I been away for so long that they've got back to the original pickup positions on the 4004?

Yes, it's the re-bodied 2030. I decided that I missed my pickguards, so I built some for it. I think it's done now....

Cant get enough of looking at that awesome looking beast Todd.
That should be RIC's 75th anniversery bass. But with production at 100% its a moot issue.

I like that the pickups are spaced out similar to a 4005, gives a lot of tonal options that way. Great looker!
